Assynt | Rapha
We stayed on the shores of Loch Assynt, surrounded by hills made from some of the oldest rocks in the world, and every morning when we woke we checked them to see how their dusting of white had crept down closer overnight. The day we embarked upon the long journey down south, it snowed on the loch, the large wet flakes hurled themselves towards the van, and exploded on the windscreen.
スコットランド北部のLoch Assyntで撮影されたもの。景色には惹かれるけれど、よくもまあこんな天気の中走るよなぁなどと思いながら観ていた。
で、今日はどこに乗りに行こうか決めかねていて、出発後山のほうを見たら雲に覆われていたんで止めようかと思ったけれど、天気予報の晴れ時々曇りからしてそのうち晴れるだろうという希望のもとに山へ。そしたら、
Skylineは完全に雲の中。小雨交じりでめちゃめちゃ寒い。Edgeには46F（8℃）と表示されている。メモリアル・デー週末なのに冬ですか？？？しかも全身濡れ鼠で冷たい強風を受けてガクブル状態。完全に心が折れてPage Millを牛の歩みで降る。頭の中は帰った後のシャワーのことばかり。これはRaphaを笑った祟りに違いない。
しかもうちの周りは風はあるものの、晴れ。山だけが綺麗に雲に覆われていた。microclimateの極み。
