The Master Cleanse Diet has been around for decades, a true fad diet that came and went. It was designed to purge toxins from the body, but doctors questioned the efficacy and the healthiness of the concoction, which consists of of water, fresh lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper. The dietary regimen calls for the replacement of food with the mixture.
結構深刻で、下手すると命がなかったかもしれない大手術みたいだったようだけれど、これによればVan Halen、"Master Cleanse Diet"というエセダイエットにはまっていたのが原因らしい。通常の食事の替りに、水・レモンジュース・メープルシロップ・カイエンペッパーからなる飲料で体の毒を排出するというのがこのエセダイエットらしいけど、カイエンペッパー多量に摂取するとこうなっちゃうのかな？大好きなんですが、自分。カレーには必ずかけるし…。
