台風カトリーナでジャコ大幅延期

HMVから来たメールのタイトル、いきなりこれじゃ何だかさっぱり。リンクをたどると、

多くのご予約をお受けしているJaco-The early Years Recordingsですが、ハリケーン・カトリーナのためＣＤ工場が大きな損傷を蒙り、現在、マスタリング作業をやり直しております。大変申し訳ありませんが、発売が2006年明けになる予定です。

え、えええええ！！！Metheny-Moses-Pastoriusの"All The Things You Are"！これってJaco本でBob Mosesがコメントしているアレではないですか。。それによればBob MosesがJacoに初めて会った時この曲でジャムったそうですが、Jacoはこの有名な曲をその時まで知らなかったそうです。でメセニーが渡した譜面をちらっと見てセッションすると、今まで知っているどんなベーシストよりも素晴らしい演奏を一発目からしたらしい。。えーい、Bob Mosesのコメントを引用しちゃえ。
