SANTA CLARA (KCBS) – Hundreds of Silicon Valley janitors took to the streets of Santa Clara on Thursday, upset about huge cutbacks being proposed for their health care plan.
About 800 janitors gathered in the parking lot of Our Lady of Peace Shrine and Church before marching along Mission College Boulevard in Santa Clara.

清掃職員のヘルスケアプランの改悪に反対するデモ。Justice for Janitorsという団体がデモしているんだけれど、これはSEIU(Service Employees International Union)と呼ばれる労働組合による、組織的なデモ。写真にも写っているけれど、バスで大勢のデモ要員を送り込んでデモする。紫色のTシャツは組合員の証。
