チポトレが試験的にここベイエリアで試しているメニューが"Sofritas"。オークランドはHodo Soy Beaneryの豆腐を使ったヘルシーメニュー。2月に開始になったけれど、今まではベイエリア７店舗、そのうちSan Franciscoは3、San Mateoが2、Milbraeに1、家から一番近いパロアルトに1軒という状況で、Sofritasを試すためだけに駆けつけるのははばかられていた。
で、今日うちの近所のChipotleに出かけたら、
おお！
メニューにも$6.25でしっかりと載っている。ということですかさずSofritas Bowlを注文。
まあ特別「旨い！」という程のことはないけれど、豆腐好きには嬉しい選択肢。

後でウェブを調べたら、どうも月曜から試験運用範囲を北カリフォルニア全域に拡張した様子。
A company spokesman said today that Sofritas sales began at Chipotle restaurants beginning Monday in all of Northern California. Sofritas were first test-marketed beginning in February at seven Bay area Chipotle fast food restaurants.
ベイエリア7店舗のテスト結果がきっと良かったんだろう。
