NPRの記事より。相手の発言を聞き返すこの、「は？」はこの主張によると世界共通語らしい。

"Huh?" ― as in, huh? what did you say? ― it is claimed, is a universal word. It occurs in every language (or in some suitably large sample of unrelated languages).
