アメリカの刑務所、提供される食事があまりにもひどく、インスタントラーメンがタバコに変わって貴重な通貨になっているらしい。
しかしインスタントラーメンよりひどい食事って…。ラーメンがご馳走、さらに刑務所レシピを本にして出版した囚人が居るとか。

これを読んでいて、国歌清聴の時に胸に手をあてないことがそんなにいけないことなのか、という疑問。んで、調べたら、
§301. National anthem
(a)
Designation .—The composition consisting of the words and music known as the Star-Spangled Banner is the national anthem.(b)
Conduct During Playing .—During a rendition of the national anthem—(1) when the flag is displayed—
(A) individuals in uniform should give the military salute at the first note of the anthem and maintain that position until the last note;
(B) members of the Armed Forces and veterans who are present but not in uniform may render the military salute in the manner provided for individuals in uniform; and
(C) all other persons present should face the flag and stand at attention with their right hand over the heart, and men not in uniform, if applicable, should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart; and
(2) when the flag is not displayed, all present should face toward the music and act in the same manner they would if the flag were displayed.

「国旗の方を向いて（無い時は音楽の方）、気を付けの姿勢で胸に手を当てること」と規則ではっきり義務付けられているのか。
だとするとやっぱりメキシコ五輪の時の拳突き上げメダル受賞は一大事だったんだろうなぁ。
最近拳突き上げた本人がNPRでインタビューされてたけど、高齢ながら未だに「もしあなたが黒人で有名なら、アクティビストとして活動すべき！」と意気荒い。
友人に格安で譲っていただく。
サイズも幸い問題ない様子。ただ、この靴を一目見た次男曰く、「派手すぎでしょ〜！」
この前書いた、注文していたハンドルのパーツ到着。
ということで今日早速修理。まずはグローブボックスの表皮を引っぺがす。５つのビスでネジ止めされてるんだけどこれがBMW特有トルクスでめんどくさい（自分が小さいところ用の適当なセットを持ってないんで）。
壊れているハンドルからキーシリンダーをもぎ取る。
キーを刺しておかないと、パーツ＆小さなバネがぴょ〜んと飛んでしまう。一度そこら中に飛ばしてしまい、探すのに一苦労。二度とやりたくないｗ。
新しいハンドルへキーシリンダーを移植。と言っても押しこむだけだけど。
よかったよかった。
記事にしてしまうとあっという間だけど、修理に小一時間。まずは仕組みを理解した上で、それでも試行錯誤で結構時間掛かるんだよね。
