パン焼き - Silicon Valleyの趣味の最先端。

うー、どうしてこのEaterの記事を見逃してたんだろう。先月のだけれど、

シリコンバレーのtech broの間の最先端の趣味がパン焼き。それもイースト使用ではなくサワードウを使った長期自然発酵のやり方。ははは自分は5年先を行ってたことになるな😎

それにしても本文にも何度も登場するけど、やっぱりTartine/Chad Robertsonの存在は大きすぎる。彼がシグニチャーであるBasic Country Loafの詳細なレシピを公開してくれたことに感謝しているパン焼きさんも多いはず。

オカルトアレクサ。

そういえば先日、いきなりアレクサが「死」の定義について語りだした。😱

 普段アレクサ、タイマー、リマインダー、天気予報ぐらいしか使ってないんで忘れてたけど履歴にこれが。テレビのなにかの声を「アレクサ、して」と聞き取った模様。

突然奇声を上げて笑い出す、ってバグが有ったと思うけど、これもかなーり怖かった。

The glyphs for the four Extension G ideographs were designed by members of our design team in Tokyo. Yui Yoshitomi (吉富ゆい), a former member of our design team, designed the initial glyphs for two of the ideographs, the ones for biáng (the traditional form is the ideograph on the left in the animated image above). Taisei Yoshida (吉田大成) subsequently tweaked those glyphs, which involved expanding the traditional form to encompass four separate region-specific glyphs, and he also designed the glyphs for the two additional Extension G ideographs, such as taito (the 84-stroke ideograph on the right in the animated image above). Of course, these glyphs were checked by Ryoko Nishizuka (西塚涼子), who oversees the design of these Pan-CJK typefaces.

Source Han Sans Version 2.000 Technical Tidbits

 アドビが作った新しいフォント、"Source Han Sans"のv2.0、これになんと例のビャンビャン麺、

のグリフ収録。これは試さずにはいられない。早速ダウンロードしてインストール、予定のコードポイントであるU+30EDDを入れてみるも、まるで駄目。replacement glyphしか表示されず。うーむ…。

で、よーく読んだらすぐそばに、

For now, because Extension G code points are not yet stable, these glyphs need to be entered via their IDSes (Ideographic Description Sequences) that are subsequently processed by the 'ccmp' (Glyph Composition/Decomposition) GSUB feature. See the “CJK Unified Ideographs Extension G” Section and its table on page 13 of the official ReadMe file for more details. 

あー、ということでU+30EDD直ではなく、シーケンスで入力する必要あり。これですね：⿺辶⿳穴⿰月⿰⿲⿱幺長⿱言馬⿱幺t長刂心

立ち上がらない、というか電源入らなくなった。

 最近はファイル置き場としてしか使ってなかったSun Blade 2500、

13年もの間、ご苦労さん。

Bicycle Coffeeのドリップコーン。

普段はHarioのコーンを使ってるけど、間違って尖ってないペーパーフィルター買ってしまった。ということで久々Bicycle Coffeeのドリップコーン登場中。

これ、一つ一つハンドメイド、それもSightglassやFourbarrelで使ってるマグを作っているAtelier Dion製。

ここまでは今までのまとめだけどｗ、こっからが本題。で、今でも売ってるんかなと思ってBicycle Coffeeのサイトを覗いたら、

あれ、なんか違うぞ。ちと安っぽくなってるｗ。と言うことで早速ググる。

ヒットしたのはイーストベイのマニュファクチャリングサービスの会社。どうもAtelier Dionとの契約終了したらしく、このデザインのコーンを再現・販売するのをこのサービス会社に頼んだ様子。
