今日はルーティンな一日。買い物で寄ったTrader Joe'sの入り口で見つけた物：
アイリッシュオートミール？”アイリッシュ”とあったら味に関係なく試さざるを得ません。そもそもアイリッシュオートミールがどんな物なのかもわかっていなかったり（笑）。で調べてみたら、
"Irish Oats" are different than other oats not because of the grain itself but because of the way they are processed. One of the oldest processors is McCann's, which has been in operation since 1800. On their Web site you can find an illustrated description of their process that results in a product known as "steel oats."*1
ということで製法が普通のアメリカのオートミールと違うらしいです。味にどのように影響してくるかは謎ですが。
