この前クレジットカードのリベートについての日記を書いた時、Discover Cardを使う意味が皆無になったと書いた。そんな中、今日いきなり新しいカードが届いて、それで置き換えるように、と言う手紙が届く。
手紙によれば理由は、
Why you're getting a new card
We have been advised that your current Discover card account information may have been compromised. This incident did not involve any Discover card systems, and there is no evidence that an unauthorized individual is using this account number. To reduce the possibility of fraud occurring on your account, we are issuing you a new card. For the security of your account, we have changed your account number.
顧客情報ダダ漏れかよ…。しかもそれでいて、"For your security-"とかあくまで客のためを思ってやってあげてるような素振り。おまけにカード番号まで変えてくれて、自動支払いとかを全て訂正しなければならない…。
