ようやくと言うか、今更と言うか、4505の"The Best Damn Cheeseburger"を食べにフェリービルディングのファーマーズマーケットへ。
ここは木曜にもマーケットがあるけれど、4505が出店するのは土曜のみ。かつ先週はなぜか休みだったんで今日に。夏と違って人出が落ち着いているんで並ばず注文できた。
子供たちはそれぞれダブル、親はシングルに卵のせをシェア。
肉の旨さもさることながら、Acmeのバンズがサクサク。評判通りの旨さ。目標遂に達成で満足。
その後は例によってファーマーズマーケット探索。こんなのみつけた。
ここは農園の出展。
なので肉が主力商品なんだけど、毛皮とか売ってるんだよな。で、写真はなんとうさぎの足…。なんでやねん！と思って調べたら幸運のお守りなんだそう。
The belief in North American folklore may originate in the system of African-American folk magic known as hoodoo. A number of strictures attached to the charm that are now observed mostly in the breach:
- First, not any foot from a rabbit will do: it is the left hind foot of a rabbit that is useful as a charm.

Some sources say that the rabbit should be shot with a silver bullet, while others say that the foot must be cut off while the rabbit is still alive.[2]
後ろの左足、しかもいろんな制約があるらしい。いやでも可哀想なんでいらない。
続いてフェリービルディング内へ。Four BarrelやBlue Bottleで使われているHeath Ceramics。いつもながらいい感じの色。
今年はHeath CeramicsのビルにTartineのレストランがオープンする予定。
Perhaps the most anticipated opening in the Mission is the Manufactory (555 Alabama St.), Tartine’s expansion that will be located in the Heath Ceramics building.
最近ベイエリアのチョコレート記事を読んだんだけど、
そのうちの2つがフェリービルディング内にある。Dandelionにはカカオそのものが販売。正真正銘100%。
Recchiutiはディスプレイが見事。
どちらのチョコ屋さんも試食ありで嬉しい。旨すぎる。
で、最後はパン関係。いままでファーマーズマーケットのみ出展だったMarla Bakery、フェリービルディング内に店舗オープンという記事を読んで探したんだけど見つからない。しょうがないんでファーマーズマーケットに出店してるブースで聞いたらBlue Bottleのそばにあるはず。でも見つかんないｗ。そしたら結局ビルの外側に面してオープンしてた。
でも結局パンを買ったのは今までどおりのファーマーズマーケット出展ブースからだったりｗ。
帰り際にそういえばTartineでGalette des Roisを売り出す、というのを思い出したんで電話で聞いてみることに。聞いたらあるにはあるけれど、wholeじゃない、とのこと。うーむそれだとフェーブが無いよなぁ、ということで泣く泣く諦め。でもせっかくなんでLa Boulangerieに寄ってみることに。
ガレット・デ・ロワが入るのは月曜から…。うーむ残念。
今日のパン。Marla Bakeryのブラウニーと、奥がいつの間にか買っていたCraftsman and WolvesのValrhona Chocolate Sourdough。濃厚チョコだけどしっかりサワードウ風味。
