曲作りの段階でモーリス・ホワイトが「バ〜ディヤ～」と適当に合いの手入れていて、最終段階で「そこは歌詞を埋めるんだよね？」と確認された答えがno。そんなの誰も気にしないだろ？歌詞がグルーヴを邪魔するなんてもってのほか。
そんな感じなのでなぜ２１日なのか、というのも同様に１日、２日、と当てはめて、２１日の語呂が最もグルーヴを邪魔しなかったから。まあそれで大ヒットしたわけで間違ってなかったことに。
