久々音楽ネタ。Kamasi Washington、知ったのはこれがきっかけだけど、
遅まきながら最近マイブーム。The Epicとか、コルトレーンの現代解釈な気がしないでもないけど、まあそこが良いところでもある。それでいてメロウなブロウもあり。最近はミシェル・オバマのBecomingのサウンドトラック担当したり。
そんな彼の新譜。
ヒップホップの人々と組んで異色のグループ結成、Marvin Gaye系を思わせるR&B。でも歌詞の内容が、

期せずしてBLMと同期。この曲を作ったのは一連のデモの前だそうだけど、彼らからすればGeorge Floyd事件以前からの普段の状況を表現したものなところが心打たれる。
