1989 Jory Red Zeppelin Mourvedre, yes I said 1989, Los Gatos Winery (Soledad grapes?). In 1991, the Chicago Tribune said

"Jory Red Zeppelin Mourvedre 1989: A parody of Bonny Doon`s Le Cigare Volant label, featuring the crashing of a Hindenburg-like airship. The neck label has another axe to grind with its portrait of wine critic Robert Parker done as a Roman statue with a broken-off nose. The motto reads: ``The Emperor has no nose.`` Apart from such highjinks, the wine is quite tasty, with light raspberry and smoky characteristics. It is a light wine, almost Beaujolais-style, though well-balanced, refreshing. Made for immediate consumption. $14.75 ((STAR)(STAR)(STAR)/84)"

(the person that donated this wine will remain anonymous, unless she confesses, :^)
So the question is, what does a 20+ year old wine taste like, anyone want to try?

Red Zeppelin
Red Zeppelin
