今日は雨だったんで車通勤。ブレイク明けのせいかどうかわからないけれど、なんとなく最近道が混んでいる。で、渋滞の友はKQEDのForum。今日の放送によると、San Quentin刑務所でノロウィルス患者が続出し、出入り禁止になった様子。さらにサンタクララ近辺の老人ホーム施設でも多数の患者が発生し、ここ数ヵ月で数人が死んでいるらしい。マーキュリーニュースの記事では、こんな風にレポートされている：
San Quentin State Prison has been closed to new inmates, visitors and volunteers because of an outbreak of an illness suspected to be norovirus, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation reported Wednesday.
The illness that causes diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, headache and fever was first detected Dec. 28 and has affected at least 489 inmates and six staff members, the CDCR reported. The prison has been closed to all intakes and transfers and all inmate movement has been temporarily restricted, state officials said.
日本でノロウィルス感染が大流行している（た?)が、今まで対岸の火事のように思っていたけれど、どうやらそうでもないらしい。
ところでチャリ通の唯一（?)の欠点はForumが聞けないこと。スケジュールを見たら明日はWikipediaの創設者、Jimmy Walesが出演するらしい…。まぁ帰ってからウェブキャストで聞けばいいんだが、なんとなく夜に聞くのは時間がもったいなく感じてしまうわがままな自分。
