アメリカで最もポピュラスな州カリフォルニア。当然議員も一番多い。んで、今まで自分の選挙区の代表、Anna Eshoo代議士を知らなかったんだけどｗ、その代議士さんからメール。

Recent allegations against the President say that he asked the president of Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden’s son. I believe that this undermines our national security and ought to alarm every American. I fully support Congress moving forward with an official impeachment inquiry. No individual stands above the law, even the President.
例のトランプ弾劾について。民主党だから当然文句なく"impeach!"と来るかと思ったけど、こういうことをしっかり選挙区民の意見を集めるところ、ちょっと感心した。
ちなみにうちの選挙区は第18区というところなんだけど、
なんかとっても変な形をしている。これもゲリマンダーの結果なんだろうけど、中心地が最高級住宅地、Athertonというのも変な気がする。
更に関係ないけど、6月の市民権面接、「あなたの地域の代議士は誰？」という質問にテスト練習用アプリカリフォルニア版の答え、"Doug LaMalfa"と答えたけど、これは単に第一区の代表だったわけで本来は不正解だったのは内緒。
つらつら見てたら時の人、Adam Schiffはバーバンクの代表だったことを学んだ。
